Loading ...Religion and faith are important to many Rancho Santa Margarita and Trabuco Canyon residents as evidenced by the number of churches. Most of the churches are fairly modest architecturally compared to other areas in the United States or the world. But never judge a church by it’s cover. When it comes to finding a church to call home, it’s definitely the inside, the spiritual side, that counts.
There are five churches lined up on what is known locally as “church row” or Via con Dios. The Spanish translation for Via con Dios is ‘way’ or ‘route’ + ‘with God’. I get a kick out of that. It’s not like the street was renamed after the churches were built either. It’s just one of those master-planned community things. Everything worked out in advance.
Other churches are scattered throughout the community, with many congregations renting space in commercial centers, schools, or from other churches.
I’ve put together a list of churches in the Rancho Santa Margarita and Trabuco Canyon areas and have included their addresses and links to their websites. While I believe this list to be complete, the information was compiled from several different sources and there might be one or two that are missing. If you are aware of a church that should be on this list, please notify me and I will add it.
