March 29th, 2007 · 3 Comments

Rancho Santa Margarita’s Annual Spring Fling is just around the corner on Saturday, March, 31st at Solana Park. If you’ve never attended the Spring Fling, I encourage you to grab the kids and come check it out.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST: A Pancake Breakfast will kick off the event 8:30 a.m. and pancakes will be served until 10:30 a.m. The cost is $6.00 per person and tickets can be purchased in advance at the Lago Santa Margarita Beach Club or on the morning of the event. Look for the White Rabbit who will be making the rounds during breakfast!

FLOWER POTTING: Included in the fee for the pancake breakfast, the children have the opportunity to get down to business of spring and do some planting. Lowes, one of the several event sponsors, is providing pots, seeds and soil for flower potting.

SPRING FLING: Spring Fling Fun begins at 9:30 a.m. and runs through 12:30 p.m. This event is loaded with activities and fun:

  • Pictures with The White Rabbit & Alice in Wonderland, the Mad Hatter Balloon Artist
  • Pony rides
  • Petting Zoo
  • Bunny Fu Fu Story Lady: stories, songs & a puppet show
  • Fairy Tea Garden Pricess: Come pet the bunnies!
  • Tractor races
  • Bounce house
  • Carnival-style games
  • Face painting
  • Crafts
  • Coloring contest

EASTER EGG HUNTS: The egg hunts are set up so that all children can have collecting eggs with other children in their age group. The egg hunt schedule is:

  • Age 2 and under 10:30
  • Ages 3 to 4 10:40
  • Ages 5 to 7 10:55
  • Ages 8 to 9 11:05
  • Ages 10 to 12 11:15

Don’t forget to bring along some sunscreen. If the weather is anything like it’s been for the past couple of days, you’ll be glad to have it!
