Thursday, May 3rd, is our country’s official National Day of Prayer.
I ask those of faith to join with me and with this community in praying for our county and our nation’s leadership; the men and women in our military, who have dedicated their lives to protecting our freedoms; and for God’s grace and continued blessings in each of our lives.
Many private schools in the community will be observing National Day of Prayer. Mission Hills Christian School students and parents will meet in their church sanctuary at 7:30 a.m. to pray for the nation. Many students attending other community schools and public schools have planned brief, informal, non-school-sponsored prayer meetings. Whatever your particular situation is, take a moment to thank God for the blessings we receive as a nation and for our many freedoms.
While you’re down on your knees and have the lines of communication open, it wouldn’t hurt to put in a word or two for the Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks face the Vancouver Canucks in Game 5 of the NHL Western Conference Semi-Finals at Honda Center tonight. I’ll be praying for them too. In person. From some pretty ok seats. GO DUCKS!
So, “Go ye therefore and pray.” Use this day to appreciate and enjoy the many good things about this great nation.

This is the stupidest thing I have ever laid eyes on.
Who would waste their time?
Instead of talking to yourself, do something useful and give blood.

It was a thrill to be able to participate in the National Day of Prayer at Mission Hills Chrisian School. Coming together to pray for our nation, families, media, neighbors, schools, and government was truly a blessing.
